Senior Consultant Surgeon
Dr. Satyadeep Bhattacharya is a distinguished Senior Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon, holding dual American Board certifications in General Surgery and Colon and Rectal Surgery. He completed his MBBS at BPKIHS, Dharan, and initially worked in the Department of Surgery at Bir Hospital, Kathmandu. Dr. Bhattacharya pursued his General Surgery Residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center, Tufts University, Boston, Massachusetts, where he was recognized with Top Gun awards for his exceptional performance. He then specialized further, completing a Colon and Rectal Surgery Fellowship at Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. Afterwards, Dr. Bhattacharya practiced as a Colorectal Surgeon at Southern Illinois Healthcare in Illinois, USA, for five years, during which he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director for the General Surgery Residency Program at Southern Illinois University (SIU). He has returned to Nepal to fulfill his dream of advancing colorectal surgical care in the country. A Fellow of both the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (FASCRS), Dr. Bhattacharya has presented extensively at national and international conferences and contributed to peer-reviewed journals. He continues to practice in Nepal, while also serving as a visiting surgeon in the USA.
