Dr. Poonam is an American board-certified nurse practitioner who completed her doctoral education at Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia, USA. She is also a registered nurse in the UK and a certified critical care nurse in the USA. Besides her practice in the UK, USA, and Nepal, she has also been involved in health care leadership and management, providing safe, effective, evidence-based practice and patient-centered care, not to mention she is also an active exponent for nursing empowerment and advocates taking up the cudgels to improve nursing care in Nepal.
